ICBC MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING – ICBC WEIGH SCALES

The responsibility for the operation of commercial vehicles, including weigh scale operation, was transferred from the responsibility of the Ministry of Transportation and Highways (MOTH) to the responsibility of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC).

The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to define an understanding between ICBC and British Columbia Buildings Corporation (BCBC) for the provision by BCBC of property management, maintenance and major repair and replacement services to all ICBC weigh scale facilities in the Province Of British Columbia.

The objective of this MOU was to document the main aspects of the understanding of the respective roles and responsibilities of both ICBC and BCBC with respect to the Weigh Scale Improvement Project and set a frame work for ongoing good business practices between the two parties.  This MOU was not intended to be a full legal document covering the precise way in which both parties would perform, but rather to outline objectives for ICBC and BCBC to work together on the Project.

B.C. ORGANIZED CRIME AGENCY PURCHASE ORDER AGREEMENT

The British Columbia Buildings Corporation was directed to provide new facilities for the British Columbia Organized Crime Agency.  Our role was to review the detailed purchase agreement between the two organizations and monitor negotiations to ensure both parties were clear in their roles and that all deliverables were identified and agreed upon.
