Katzie First Nations – Reserve Master Plan
As the lead consultant of a multi-disciplinary team, we coordinated a team of planners, engineers and landscape architects in the preparation of a long-term development plan of the three Katzie First Nations reserves located in Maple Ridge and Surrey. Emphasis was placed on the preservation of tribal assets, reclamation of First Nations resources and the development of needed housing. Consultation with Band leaders as well as on and off-reserve band members was important in identifying Band needs and priorities and the economic viability of the proposed activities and programs.

Pemberton Benchlands Neighbourhood Concept Plan
As one of the major landowner’s representatives, we served as a member of the Steering Committee and participated in the preparation of the Neighbourhood Concept Plan for an 89-hectare area with mixed private ownership and Provincial Government lands. The study area consisted of valley bottom land as well as rocky hillsides and slide endangered areas. The plan preparation process involved significant stakeholder meetings including landowners, Land and Water B.C., full-time and part-time Pemberton residents and First Nations. Detailed slope and natural features were analyzed and used as a basis to determine land use patterns including public spaces, a mix of housing densities and commercial facilities. An economic and feasibility analysis was also developed as part of the plan.

City of Cranbrook – Parks and Recreation Master Plan
Even small cities can have big needs when trying to provide the recreation essentials of a growing population that includes many young families. Taking advantage of the many great outdoor recreation opportunities while providing indoor facilities for the colder months and older population base was key to the creating a comprehensive Master Plan to guide the development of recreational facilities identified by our team of landscape architects and park planners.

City of North Vancouver – Parks and Recreation Master Plan
As a growing municipality, much of it as infill and redevelopment, North Vancouver presented a unique challenge to identify a wide range of needs for the varied demographics present within specific neighbourhoods and citywide. Our team of highly skilled park planners and landscape architects analyzed the current and anticipated growth, while working with staff and residents to identify current and future needs. Using these resources, a comprehensive Master Plan was developed to guide the implementation of the goals and objectives which would create more complete and healthy neighbourhoods and overall community in North Vancouver.

Matsqui-Abbotsford Parks and Recreation Master Plan
The rapidly growing Matsqui-Abbotsford region was challenging the existing recreation facilities in both the urban and rural areas of the large municipality. A long term plan was required to deal with pressing current issues plus ensure the comprehensive provision of required facilities well into the future. As part of an experienced team of parks and recreation planners and landscape architects we collaborated in the preparation of comprehensive Master Plan to identify needs and opportunities and provide an implementation strategy to meet those goals and objectives.
