QUEENSBOROUGH, NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C.

The renovation and revitalization of the landmark Queen’s Hotel in Queensborough would be a welcomed upgrade in that community but it came with many challenges.  City infrastructure in the rapidly developing neighbourhood required considerable upgrades to local storm and sewer lines including a new pump station.  A potential new townhouse development to the south required planning for the future growth and demand for services and pedestrian walkways.

With soils always an issue in Queensborough our firm worked with a team of geotechnical engineers, architects and landscape architects to resolve the difficult servicing issues and address the Development Permit requirements imposed by the City for the renovated building.  The successful resolution and completion of the updated Hotel provides an important focus for community activities.
